What's your story?
I’ve always been serious about my health; I’m a runner, vegan, and fitness instructor . So, in December 2012, when I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease, my only question was whether I was would ever run another marathon. Not only was the answer no, but I was also told my quality of life would end in 5 years For 3 years I let the disease consume me. I stopped doing things I loved, like travel and running. Then a close friend of mine suggested that I live my life pretending I didn’t have the disease. I took her words to heart and ran the NYC marathon in 2015. I started taking back my life. Parkinson’s may steal my future, but I’m no longer going to allow it to take my today.
